The 9' 4wt Winston Pure is a great lightweight do-all trout rod. This rods versatile action allows for delicate dry fly presentations, while still having enough reserved power to turn over light nymph rigs and light streamers. Due to rod's action and taper, it can protect the lightest of tippet while still being able to fight trout of various sizes.

The rod took a little practice after using a faster action rod. After that it was accurate, smooth and dropped the fly lightly. Even with a strong breeze it worked well.
