Fly Tying Hackles

Fly fishing hackles are feathers that are used in fly tying to create a variety of different fly patterns. They are typically taken from the neck or saddle of a rooster and are used to create the "hackle" or "legs" of a fly.

Hackles are typically graded by size, with larger hackles being used for larger flies and smaller hackles being used for smaller flies. They are also available in a wide range of colors, including natural shades such as brown, ginger, and white, as well as dyed colors such as black, olive, and red.
