This is one of those rod models that has most people scratching their head wondering what it's used for. Well the wonder is over, we've found that 8'4" 3wt Orvis Helios 3wt is one of the best dry fly rods for our local waters. This rod can handle all fishing scenarios from creeks, small freestones, small alpine lakes, and tailwaters. The rod is extremely delicate and places dries down like a natural bug, but it surprisingly has more than enough backbone to handle the caliber of fish seen in our local waters.
