Your gear choice will depend on the species you wish to target.

Barracuda/Jacks/Snook:
- Flies: Salty Mullet, Clousers, Surf Candy, Cuda Snack, Cohen’s Magnum Baitfish, Mylar Popper (Sizes 2 - 1/0)

- Plan D Bonefish/Trout Boxes
- Bajio Vega/Stillsville/Piedra/Bales Beach Sunglasses Green or Rose Mirror

Dress Appropriately:
September is typically the hottest month in Mexico, so be sure to pack light, sun-protective clothing, such as sun hoodies, buffs, sun gloves, hats, and sunglasses. Rain is also common, so a lightweight rain jacket is highly recommended.
Casting:
To maximize your chances of landing fish, it's important to be able to cast effectively from different positions on the boat. Practicing your double haul and backhand casting will help, as you’ll often be required to cast quickly from either your dominant or non-dominant hand side. Being able to change the direction of your cast on a dime can make the difference between landing a fish and missing your shot.
